Jennifer Gassen, a native of Southern California, attended Cornell University and graduated in 2001 with a B.A. in Government. Jennifer returned to California for law school, and graduated in 2004 with a J.D. from UCLA School of Law. During law school, Jennifer gained experience as a law clerk, working in both civil and criminal law. Following graduation in 2004, Jennifer volunteered with Public Counsel, the largest pro bono law firm in the country. During her seven months with Public Counsel's Child Care Law Project, Jennifer helped child care providers who had legal problems ranging from private disputes with landlords and parents to administrative issues with the Department of Social Services. Jennifer was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2004, and in early 2005 began working as a contract attorney for a private criminal defense attorney. She furthered her interest and experience in criminal law, on both the state and federal level, while aiding in the representation of private as well as indigents clients. As an associate with Randolph & Associates, Jennifer continues to pursue her interest in criminal law and stands firm on the idea that everyone is entitled to a good defense.
