Family claims gas leak caused family members death

On Feb. 2, a California family filed a wrongful death lawsuit claiming that a long-term gas leak from a nearby plant caused an elderly family member's medical problems to become more severe, ultimately leading to her death. Keyless ignition dangers may lead to action

Many Californians have vehicles with keyless ignition systems. This feature comes on many newer vehicles and is one that most people like. The issue with these systems is they do not have an automatic shut-off safety feature after drivers park their vehicles and exit with the fob without turning off the ignition. This lack of an automatic shut-off feature has led to multiple deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Wrongful death claims and Medicare liens

Because this is not always the case, California individuals may need clarification before filing a claim. The type of claim filed and state standards serve as guidelines related to proceeds being attached by Medicare.
